My 'solo date' became editing my minerva_fest story instead. So no drinky-drinks, but Minerva? I think I can deal with that date.

I hate that I'm afraid to like this story in case others don't like it. I really shouldn't be basing my appreciation of my own writing on that. If only I could suddenly stop. Oh well.

I do think I like it, at least a little, you know, just enough that I wouldn't feel silly if everyone hates it. It's not enough to diminish my fear of finding and having a beta, though; now I'll be procrastinating on that instead. (I already checked for a beta under the sofa. I didn't find one there, but I decided to stay anyway.)

Now it's time to sleep. I was supposed to have a big day ahead of me tomorrow but I realised it would be quite hard on me/my body and push me over into the 'too much' category, where I don't want to be, and so I actually listened to myself for once and will give it a miss. I feel bad since I gave the initial impression that I would be going...but it's really a bit too much for me.

Sweet dreams everyone! And in honour of Esther Day, which I've just missed, I love you all! (Check out the "Nerdfighters" and "Esther Day" online. We're all working to end Worldsuck by Not Forgetting To Be Awesome: DFTBA, Don't Forget To Be Awesome. Also, Don't Panic. You know the drill.)

finding and having a beta

Dude. You need to ask? Send the sucker through :).

Also here is a picture of a pug that is perturbed by its birthday cake:

D'awwr, Feather, you're the best. :D (I do have "Ask Feather to beta" in very small font on my To Do List, but I was going to ignore that one for a leeeeeetle [a beetle-little] while haha.)

I will send it on through when I can manage to head up to my room again. I'm downstairs in a spaghetti-strap and underwear because it is too hot. I mean, it's only 88 at the moment (so not even 90 yet, though it will be) but we don't have any sort of AC for the most part and my room gets the hottest in the house. I'm wondering if I have enough to-do stuff on the Internet that it's worth having someone drop me off somewhere air-conditioned, like a coffee/sandwich shop or something.

AWWR THE PUG! They always look like they have such terrible news to give, even when they're happy. Adorable little birthday pug! I should do that for mine in November.

(My poor pug is suffering the heat as I am, which mainly involves flopping many different places and mouth-breathing/panting. We much prefer the winter.)

Sent! :D I think, anyway.

I don't trust Gmail as much as I once did...

Received! Gah, sorry for my lack of reply. Sometimes forget that people are not going to magically hear my thoughts *g*

Today, I'm frantically trying to get through Oliver Twist in time for class tomorrow, but after that I shall get on it. I will definitely have time to work on it on Saturday, if not before.

No worries! I sometimes forget the very same thing, and so I am forcing myself to go through my inbox again. Or, I was...I got distracted by meetup.com or something and joining lesbian groups. Uh, bad Kiwi.

Good luck getting through Oliver Twist before class! Don't worry about the beta-ing; you've got ages yet haha. I have the fic to you before I normally would have any firm idea on it! Crazy.

(I am not drunk. I am just feeling the way icon-lady is. :B)
