When I was in Spain, we went on a field trip to a place that had some great insects. Also a chamelon that climbed all over me; it seemd to like the colour of my jacket and hair (very tree-like).

The teacher says at the end "Very good. Aaaahh, that's very beautiful."

I love when teachers are so clearly interested in their field. (: She's also into forensic entomology, so when we saw a dead snake and dead rabbit during our travels, we got to poke them with sticks and hear about the life cycles of the insects inside to figure out how long they'd been dead. Neat!

It practically kissed me on the cheek. D'awwwwr.

Better picture of the chameleon. And my rainbow earring. :B

There's another thing I did in Spain (besides get the panda-burn): I slept (on the ferry boat) pretending to be a koala.

This is added to the "Kiwi can sleep anywhere, anyhow" collection - but the exception is when I need to sleep, which is when I can't.

Thank you for taking this journey back in time with me. You may return to your regularly scheduled linear time-line now.

(I am amused.)

*Uii* - I don't know which entry of these I love best... well, not the beetles (too aggressive); that there was a "wild" chameleon around: awesome! And how you can sleep like that is completely amazing....I'd be afraid to fall of when asleep! And Umbridge *LOL*....
Thank you for the entertainment ♥

Heh, sorry about the beetles! I try to give some warning, but this is an ecologist's blog, so some less-adorable critters must be expected every once in a while. :Þ

The sleeping very much wasn't intentional. I was hanging around, chatting with friends, but of course we'd all been awake for a long time with being stuck in Spain and travelling...so I fell asleep. Didn't fall over or anything! Woke up when someone accidentally brushed my leg. It was a neat room with windows out over the ocean, though, with the lull of the engine... It was a nice little koala-nap!

Glad you enjoyed the entertainment! :B
