Christmas is a lovely thing. (But apparently for me, not a poetic one.)

However, I will get to that another time. (Perhaps. I seem to promise things to LJ but fail to deliver. Although it's all down in a List, so maybe this decade...)

Instead I will mention that my grandparents (read as: grandmother) got me a rainbow watch. Which is lovely. And just the other day I was thinking (after a third time looking at my naked wrist), "Gee, I wish I had a watch."

And now I remember why I don't wear watches.

Tick. Tick tick tick. Tick. TICK TICK TICK.

I swear I can hear it everywhere. It's like the tell-tale tick, and I didn't even kill the ruddy watch!

*Stares at the shiny sparkly watch prettiness.*

I'm going to try to wear you as long as I can. When I start going that mental, we're going to have to go on break. It's a pity, given you're so good at telling the time, and given that's such a special skill that I don't possess without you...

I don't want a digital watch; I like having to think a little when I consult my wrist. I just want to be one of those wonderful people who Doesn't Notice Ticking! (And chewing. Somehow, those two always go teeth-in-wrist, which seems much less pleasant than hand-in-hand.)

And that is the latest in the (tell-)tale of Kiwi. Possibly see you tomorrow for the next instalment! (Probably. Because both 'LJ' and 'Clean Things' tasks appear on my To Do List, so it'll either be the productive sort of LJing or the procrasinatory sort. Or both.)

I am always - always - sceptical when I see someone post the ' (; ' face. My friends and I use it when we are up to No Good.

And I see I was right! That's going to be stuck in my head for a week now! :B

I cannot imagine hearing that well, but can fancy that it would be a bit wearing after a time. I shall hope that you and the rainbow ticker can come to an accord.

The constant reminder that time is passing! Bleh. It makes me think of moments in Alice in Wonderland.

I go digital because I like the extra features of having a timer and stopwatch and the date. It's amusing because normally when people look at their watch when you ask the date it's a funny accident but my watch actually has the date.
