I'm pretty sure I was just prank called by one of my campers--one of the ones from my cabin, Lee Cabin.

The tykes have a lot to learn about prank calling. Regardless, I am fairly amused.

I am also reminded how much I loved my job.

If I can find a job that makes me half as happy as Rowe, I think I will have found my place. Hopefully thoughts like that will get me through my post-schooling crisis.

(I will now provide an approximation--exaggerated and yet often understated--representation of my present state.

Kiwi [talking to herself, of course]: "So. School is done." [Checks invisible watch.] "That's a good 18 years of my life. And it's over." [Checks calendar, which is three months behind.] "This is Real Life, then. Guess I should choose my place of settling. And get a job. Suppose I should get started on those Life Dreams..." [Twiddles thumbs.] "I'm going to go make a sandwich.")

I haven't forgotten about you. I have been ridiculously tragic about my summer unrequited love and have been trying to keep it away from Livejournal (I know many of you would like to see it--and see it you will, to some capacity--but this side of me is new and I feel I'm keeping a scrap of dignity by working through it myself a bit first). However, a picture post and hopefully some content on the Goings On at Rowe (the bits I can remember) should appear in this generalised location of my Livejournal at A Later Date.

For now I am pleased that my procrastination paid out: no "Growing Up Gay" sermon written; no service Sunday to read the non-written sermon. On the other hand, hurricanes are a bugger, so of course I would rather have to stretch my writing capacity if it meant people didn't have to put up with this latest natural disaster.

Prank calls to hurricanes; I think my work here is done.

Hurricanes? :S Oooh, prank calling? There's a technique to it? Don't suppose you'd care to share, O Maestro? ;)

My immediate advice is to be consistent with whatever the chosen accent is. :B

Kiwi! Welcome back to the newer england ;D

Batten down you hatches for this "gigantic hurricane!!!" I'm not too worried, we've survived hurricanes before.... everyone else is freaking the fuck out though! There was no more water or milk left in my grocery store....

Regardless after this rain passes through we should get together for tea! I know a wonderful place that has tea and cupcakes and champagne in the garden. I'm sure you'd love it~

P.S. I adore the rainbow hair french braid at the end of your post!
P.P.S. I found you on twitter! My user name is the same there - I'm following you *is a stalker*

Welcome back to the newer england ;D
Hahahaha I love that. :D

Glad to have made it through the hurricane. My house didn't have power for five days. :X We still don't have any food, so my mother is having me head out to Ruby Tuesday's and tip my brother 50%. Huzzah. :Þ

We should definitely get together for tea some time! I'm often in Providence. What is the place that you know? :D

I love that banner too. C: I see that you found me on twitter, but it won't let me add you! You seem to have disappeared off the face of twitter!

We lost a lot of trees and our cable for about two days but we didn't end up losing power until 5 days after it all went down.... When National Grid turned off EVERYTHING to the whole neighborhood. Very confusing. Thankfully it only lasted a few hours.
I'm glad to hear you've made it through though.

It's called "The Duck & Bunny a snuggery" and it's right on Wikiden St. Officially my favorite place in providence. You can see pictures of it on their website. (http://theduckandbunny.com/)

D= I've disappeared off the face of twitter?!?!
Maybe direct link will help? ( http://twitter.com/#!/VenomeBat ) I do enjoy seeing your tweets - you make me smile.

alsdjflaksjdf The Snuggery! That's within walking distance of where I hang out in Providence! Like, I've passed it a good number of times and always wondered "what's a snuggery?" I've been told by a few people to go in at some point. I would love to go there with you!

Finally managed to follow you on Twitter! I forgot that twitter still doesn't like Google Chrome and that I have to go to Firefox to follow people. (Usually I use Tweetdeck.)

I've never used twitter with google chorm - how odd o.o
We shall most definitely go get cupcakes and tea at the snuggery, i can almost guarantee it will become one of your favorite places in providence.

procrastination does have some usefulness! imagine how irked you would be if you put all that time and effort into a sermon only to find out that you wouldn't be giving it! ALL HAIL PROCRASTINATION! ;)

no fair! i told you all my deb stories!! ;) (j/k! j/k! keep your dignity but know there are those of us who feel your pain ::hugs::)

I'm sure my stories will go up at some point. :B Right now I'm in a kind of angsty phase of it, so I'm trying to avoid posting that. (I do find being in unrequited love with someone when I'm around her, it seems, but as soon as things are online I get angsty/angry. 'tis bad!) I certainly don't want you all feeling my pain or anything! :B
