I was woken today by a phone call from a friend. She called me because she just had to tell me that there was a place with lots of free books open in town. I am tickled rainbow by the knowledge that I am her first thought when something like 'free books' arises.

(And I was tempted, but I resolutely kept myself from town. I am on a strict no more books actively collected between now and leaving; I have to get rid of the ones I don't read while I'm here. If one or two find their way into my companionable possession, so be it, it can't be helped.)

In other news: Finally watched the latest episode of Doctor Who. (So, uh, a sub-plot spoiler.)

I already knew the key points, but still, aslkdjfalksjdf ASLKJDFAKLSJDF!!!

PLUS - inter-species inter-galactic Samurai-sword-wielding Victorian lesbians with honour and humour?! WHAT MORE COULD I WANT? I think it's time to go have happy dreams now.

What a great appropriate icon *gg*. To get rid of (some of) ones books is really about the hardest thing, isn't it.... All those moving we had to do, but I still have all the children's books and lots of my school-books (not really up-to-date any more *LOL*)....

Glad you appreciated the icon! Getting rid of books is so hard - it's like getting rid of a friend or a future friend (if it hasn't yet been read).

I hope I never have to get rid my children's books or the little collection of school stuff I still have! I hope only to collect more children's books - I love them!
