I'm going to over-post you lot without even caring. I'm apparently going to be on a ferry for up to 24 hours, or something, so I feel it's my right.

What I have learned through the Min!fest: 1) I will never run out of Minerva plotbunnies. 2) There is a serious fetish in the fandom for Minerva's hair coming down. 3) There is no way my writing quality will make it up to par!

I also have some recs. They will be Harry Potter. That is how I am currently (and usually) rolling. I apologise for making you read the fanfic descriptions on the pages them selves for couples. I've just realised the sun is making me lazy.

The kellychambliss section:
(If my fic collection were a library, she would be one of the authors presented up front in her own little shelf.)

Five Creatures That Luna Believes In That Hermione Doesn't* (But One That She Might) - Fantastic story. I loved being one of the grapes on the vine and hearing everything that sifted through Luna's peculiar insights. What a fun story! Fantastic characterisation and a surprisingly delightful new couple to me. (:

Truth Beyond - Prepare to shift in your seat. This one is utterly fantastic. Thank goodness for the breaks between to draw a few breaths, otherwise I'd have been doomed! Pretty much every delicious kink you can imagine tucked into this neat little story.

Still Waters - Read. This. Story. It is the perfect Grubbly-Plank story with an impeccable (of course) Minerva. The use of flashbacks is amazing. I love a story with plot interwoven into one short time period. This story makes the decision-making process far less daunting, however I doubt any of us have a decision half as pleasant as to even *perhaps* hook up with the one and only Minerva Fucking McGonagall. Laughter.

The Rest:

Tonks/Ginny - Sure is pretty on the eyes, innit? :P

Lost Shadows - Petunia/Snape angstfest of win. This is from one of my favourite Grey's Anatomy authors who also angsts up some of my other favourite fandoms. (: This story was very well done. What a way to toy with my heart! I heart lakela!

A Hogmanay Carol - A beautiful Kittyhawk story by therealsnape, another favourite of mine. I've read this twice and will certainly go back for more. Adorable, fantastic lines and also sexy as hell. What else could sex on legs be? (:

My Knee and Your Left Hand - both by the_porous_page. I am a sucker for word play, even if it breaks my heart. I am also a sucker for dialogue fic, especially when it's cute and sexy. These are easy reads, both fun and inventive with a new and unique pairing.

The Enemy of my Enemy... - A HP rec post wouldn't be the same without mention of one of my favourite people, lash_larue. This story is an enchanting (and of course entertaining!) look at the dynamics between two surprising (yet not!) characters. I have never felt so proud to be short.

A Present from Blackpool - a Neville-centric story by moonyprof. The letters back and forth between Neville and his Gran had me cracking up. Very IC. Loved this little gem!

The Red Handbag - lionille. Everyone needs a nice, sturdy, trustworthy handbag...especially Augusta Longbottom.

Drabbles - Ah, miss_morland, another favourite of mine! These drabbles are all fantastic. The middle one is proof that patience pays out.

MM/AB - tbranch. If you're an old-lady-smut-brigade HP fan and you haven't seen this picture, you need to step out from under your rock for a second and take a breath of fresh air - you'll need it. Oh, this little jewel. Don't even try to get over it: you never will! Just let it keep taking up that special corner of your mind. (:

Hermione/Luna - NSFW. I just find this nummy, I can't really help it. :P

Hermione/Ginny - Also NSFW. Ditto on the 'nummy'ness.

Trelawney Reveals - This is just for the lulz. I cracked up. Go on, get your destiny!

No problem! You deserve it! ♥ Oh! I should have recced your rarepair, too! (I think that was the fest it was for? My mind is so boggled!) Decided on the ferry that I wanted to go give that one another read. (:

Please overpost! I'm very bored at work again and hitting the refresh button on LJ like an addict with advanced stage withdrawal symptoms.

Oh no! Not another one of those days! I have those days when I'm doing uni work. X:

Ooooh I make up a significant portion of the Writer's Insecurity club. I feel terribly inadequate, being only 20 and having never experienced the pleasure of actually ENJOYING a kiss with a fellow female. Few sloppy exchanges here and there, but thus far the factors of youth that so enchant my peers haven't held my attention long. I'm always afraid I know very little of the world, certainly not enough to write from the POVs of such strong, worldly women!

Glad you enjoyed the recs. :D

Somehow, I find writing the POV of a tree less difficult than the POV of one Minerva McGonagall; the tree has less temper.

Thanks for the recs! For some reason, all the authors' names seem to be left off, but we'll be able to figure it out. Looking forward to the Snape/Petunia in particular; I don't think I've ever read that pairing before.

Glad you're enjoying the Minerva prompts. Hair coming down -- oh, yeah. One of my major kinks for sure.

I haven't chosen mine yet; can't decide!

It's the darned layout, unfortunately. Every time I find one I love I notice some annoying glitch - unable to read flist at Uni, LJ link tags don't come up, etc. At some point I'll get up the motivation to change it - I do enjoy seeing names of flisters and communities on my flist!

I think the 'hair coming down' idea was one of the inspirations for growing my hair out long again. As was Lash's idea of a long-haired Hermione. It dawned on me that perhaps length would weigh down the curls. Thus far it's been working! I was just dared to let my hair dry right from the shower rather than plaiting it, so we'll see how that works out. I may end up with ringlets. Oh, my. Don't know what I'd do with myself then.

I'm trying to keep myself from writing too much. Don't want the temptation to pick up another claim while other people are still considering! :P

How come I hadn't seen this??? You're amazing, thank you so much for the rec and for the heartin'. <3

Hate that I'm never round anymore...

I don't know! But I'm glad you did eventually. :D The heartin' is always yours, and you know I love your writing! ♥ *Hugs.*

It makes me sad that you're not around as much any more, too, but it's completely understandable! And sometimes I disappear for a while too when RL simply gets too busy. I try to come back before a week, though. Livejournal is my home!
