Rainbow || Rainbow northern lights.

(no subject)

Today has not been the productive day I had hoped it would be.

My brother abducted me and took me to Burger King for some bonding time. He and the rest of my family abducted me later to go watch Dweeb (the brothercreature) and Master Dweeb (the fathercreature) play tennis. We then headed to Wholefoods, where I picked up essential oil perfume. (Perfume I'm not allergic to! The frankincense and myrrh one smelled best on me, so now I smell like the woman I fell for...oh well haha, at least it's a pleasant association.) We also ate sushi while in the store; I forgot that my family goes eating-and-paying much of the time, rather than shopping.

It's strange being back in my old room and running into things like my 8th grade composition notebook with answers to the silly questions assigned by teachers for the whole-class field trip to DC. And seeing the painting above my door of a rainbow emerging from a pot of gold, which my father painted when I was seven. And knowing that for the moment I'm actually living here (not a negative judgement, just a stating of fact!).

Slowly working through all my stuff. Tomorrow early evening Cassia-my-good-friend is picking me up and taking me back to the house in Providence so I can see everyone again and probably watch some Batlestar Galactica. I'm definitely excited for that.

I have a sermonette to write for Sunday on "Growing Up Gay", so if any of you have any ideas on what I should include, please feel free to drop a comment about it!

To make up for my lack of productivity (in life and on Livejournal), I'm just going to leave a video for you all:

Enjoy! I think I'm going to head off to bed to catch a few zeez so I can tackle my closet tomorrow (gasp oh gasp I hope it lets me out again so I can do my sermon on growing up gay...). Sweet dreams and best wishes!

I think what my family missed most about my being here is my loud music (and caterwaul-singing).

This is clearly not debatable, merely truth and fact.
