Rainbow || Rainbow northern lights.

(no subject)

Hello all! Wanted to first thank you for being so supportive through my week of utter hell. It means the world to me, so thank you thank you thank you!

I backdated my entries for those days here, here and here. The last one is probably worth reading, the other ones not so much. (:

Saturday was a beautifully lazy day for me. I was awoken before noon by people looking at the house. They came into my room and a girl said, "It's so messy." The boy answered, "I don't understand how people live like this. Oh...wait, someone's sleeping in here." I didn't mind since I leave my door open and am fine getting back to sleep, but I did somewhat want to throttle them and tell them they should give 7 exams in 8 days a shot and see how their rooms fared. Housemate Jacque and I made a deal that we'd both go back for an hour nap and then meet to go charity shopping.

Slept for more than an hour and then got ready. Some men came to fix the door to the conservatory, so that held us up. We walked up to Cemetery Junction. On the way this big stereotype of a black man looked at me with huge black sunglasses, pulled them down to look me up and down, and said some sort of sexual thing. I looked to Jacque and then back, all confused. He said, "Mmm, ain't that the stuff, yeah you!" and then looked at me from behind, too. I was flabbergasted and just kept walking. That, uh, doesn't happen to me.

The charity shop was closed but we bought loo roll and some squash from the shops. On the way back home the men outside one of the houses kept looking at me and commenting things I couldn't understand. I've hung around a lot of gorgeous women in my life; I'm not the one people look at!

Did lots of writing on Saturday for Goldenlake's SMACKDOWN competition, for Circlecest. Well, first I posted up the stories I didn't get to before, then I wrote. Watched Eurovision with Housemates Jacque and Roberts. I swooned all over the place over Switzerland and the ukulele and the pretty girl (shocking, I know). They let me finish up my writing - while cheering for me and rooting me on - and then we watched Doctor Who downstairs. I wish River Song had been in the episode; I could have totally shipped River/Tardis. aslkdjf.

I started reading before bed (The Host) and then kept reading and reading and reading. It wasn't even that I was thrilled with the book - I'm not a fan, really, but there were parts I liked - but just the act of reading through the night again. I cannot remember the last time I got to do that. I feel asleep after dawn smiling, thinking about how I purchased The Last Taboo: Women and Body Hair to read through cover-to-cover after my last exam, the way I used to love doing. I also started Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire to get a feel for real vampires again; after a few pages I'm already hooked. Authentically charismatic but still vampiric vampires are lovely.

Today has been a lazy day too. Nothing remarkable happened, which makes the day actually feel remarkable in itself. Just catching up on television and remembering how to breathe with my whole body. I'll start revising for Friday's exam soon.

That is me, all caught up! Now time to catch up on livejournal. (: Hope you all are keeping well!
