Woke up, wrote up the dream, took a shower, got ready for the day, made it through the little work I had for Enviro, went down for lunch. Came back up, hung out in Sarah's room typing up Enviro notes, and then got ready for practical.

I don't have any work boots or wellies. So I guess since ecology majors don't really have to buy books, I'll have to spend my money on good work boots, some water-proof muckboots, and a good jacket. Possibly a lab coat but probably not.

I waited in the foyer reading The Power of Now and listening to music. The professor guy came. I felt really sad for no apparent reason, but I stepped out of it. We went into a lab and got blabbed at. We carried stuff outside. We got papers that had assessments on the back (papers we have to write for 5 November on our invertebrate samplings). Stuff was explained. I felt lost but wasn't.

I took my litter sample without problem and joked with two other ecology majors. (Uhm, and there are only ten, and only thirteen in the class, so it's pretty impressive.) Talked with Catherine and the Polish boy whose name I still cannot pronounce about GARP (THEY JOINED!) and anime club (THEY LIKE IT!) and RocSoc (NEW ROCK BOOTSSSS!). We put down our antifreeze cup samples and marked the ground.

Went off and did my Vortex of Death sample but my area of grass was wet so I didn't get much, but I did get some worm thing and some spiders and hoppy things. Yay. Then I dug my grassland cup-test and the professor laughed at the fact that digging a hole with the twirly-thing in grassland was like eating spaghetti.

(Aren't my technical terms spot-on today? Rockin'.) We walked back, set up our litter under the lights and over the filters. I walked back with Catherin and Polboy. We watched the ducks and joked. Walked back together to where I turned off for Windsor. Went up to my room and started replying to emails, then down with Sarah and others for dinner. I ate really quickly but enjoyed the food for once.

Came back up, made it all the way through emails including Shaya's emails (which I put all into one word document), and then got to work. Joked around with Batgirl and she showed me the Natural Confectionery adverts and I showed her Sour Patch Kids.

Then Zoe put up a status on Facebook admitting that she was watching Are You Afraid of the Dark and my brain was like "SCREW BIO WATCH THATTTT" and I decided I would compromise with myself and keep up each on half-screens. So I watched that and was all yaaaay Oldskool Nickelodeon! and Booooo, The Living Cell with a bad professorrrrr... But it worked out and now I'm all typed up and ready for lecture tomorrow (no practical for meee!) and ready to read some Milk Treading before going to sleep. Because I can nap tomorrow.

Epic winnnn.

The cleaning lady came and knocked on my door. "Any rubbish?" I said, "Oh yeah, one sec!" and grabbed my bag. Opened the door and put it in her big bag. She gave me a new one. "Did I wake you up, dear?" she inquired kindly. She has nice smiles. "No, no, sorry, I've just come back from a lecture." We have nice little chats.

Anyway, I now hear her going up and down the corridor with, "Any rubbish?"

It reminds me of the scene in the 3rd Harry Potter movie with the cleaning lady in the run-down house I can't currently recall.

It makes me smile. Now I want to watch Harry Potter. Perhaps I'll do that for some writing this weekend.

Uhm. Yes. I'm a dork.

Nerd
It has gone too far when you give up your nap time to read.

But since I've already gone too far, I'm going to go do it again.

That's right. It's Friday night and all my friends are off at the store buying supplies, and will be going out for a Popcorn night later, and I am already in my PJs about to read about anthropomorphic animals.

As if I needed further help proving my nerd-ness...

  • 16:24 The Living Cell = sniffle. How is it boring compared to all my other courses?
  • 17:12 Somehow I don't think singing the "Little Shop of Horrors" theme song helps me copy down notes... That is a sad truth of life!
And that's a wrap, folks! Kupokweh!

I'm dying of the plague again. I was doing really well this morning, and now I have horrible throat pain and a headache and I feel hot / temperature-wonky and feverish.

I ran out of fiction and panicked, so I went down and borrowed a book from Zoe(umlaut) - uni Zoe(umlaut), not Sheroes! (They are both absolutely lovely.)

I borrowed Terry Pratchett Carpe Jugulum.

I'm going to start it now and just stay in bed, possibly put on Harry Potter 3 to calm me. The others are off at Popcorn night. I'm dying! Giggles, yeah, not really<3Snoopy.

Zoe(umlaut) came up for a long while and I talked her ears off after typing her eyes off. So she got to see all the junk in my room (including the contents of my wardrobe, which is now splayed all over my bed), see all my art, see lots of stuff on my computer including my novel lengths, and listen to Draco and the Malfoys. She had only heard one song. Blasphemy!

We had nice conversation. Yaaaay someone sensible about relationships! And yaaay being a slasher! And yaaay being a Rosethorn/Lark fan! And yaaaay Tammy fan, and Harry Potter fan, and QuestionableContent, and so much more.

University is so rocking.

I also hid in my closet and jumped across my room onto my bed.

I am a flying margay.

A sick flying margay.
