Kiwi Crocus

I was sitting there looking through the maths chapters to see what I could do a project on and I looked up to see something moving... very awkwardly.

It was a little mouse, and I realized that it was fumbling about because its eyes weren't open. It's not a pinky--has the grey fur and everything--but it hasn't opened its eyes yet.

So I captured it in an old food container with the use of a cup, grabbed a facetowel, and put it in a little container. Didn't have any heating pads or anything so I put in one of the skiing pads, which I can never get to full power or anything.

Held him (now he has a gender? ...no not really) up and down and fed him warmed milk-with-water since cow's milk is too hard to digest alone. Just a few drops since he doesn't weigh many grams at all.

Stroked at his privates with a warmed, wet cotton swab to see if he would go to the bathroom (not sure if that has to be done when they're out of the pinkie stage, but thought I'd go for it anyway) and then let him rest. Now I've got a rice sock in there that's heated. He's sleeping.

I have NO idea what I'm doing. He probably won't make it. If he makes it to his evening meal I might add a little raw egg for nutrients. Some distilled water for drink.

I don't know why I do this. I would just hate myself if I didn't at least try?

I think I still want to name him, because he's another piece of nature that I love and even if he passes, he will have a name to pass with him.
