This will likely not come as news to any of you, but the weekend is far too short and ends far too quickly.

(Weekend? What is a weekend?)

As I'm driving, I tend to think things and add as an afterthought, "Ah, yes, I'll put that in a Livejournal post." Then it comes time for such postings and I find I'm too busy trying to catch up on my inbox, others' LJ posts, relax a bit, maybe edit a story, potentially even--goodness gracious--write something, and a number of other things.

Ah well. My weekend was lovely (I even got cuddles!), I'm knackered, I've got the little buggers again tomorrow, and by Wednesday night I will well and truly be back in my own home (thank goodness).

Until recently I had also apparently forgotten the strength of the depressing Sunday Night Thought: "I've got to get through another Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and much of Friday before it's Friday evening again."

Thankfully Friday evening is the best feeling in the world and, Lady Luck shine bright on me, I shall make it to the next one--hopefully having learned some new tricks for my pesky job along the way.

My goodness you are racking up quite the travel mileage there! So do you get a Friday-Sunday weekend, or do you find that you need time to recover from your travels?

If you actually do manage all that at once, I may have to start taking Life Lessons from you! I'll apply to have you as my personal tutor...

The other day my (queer-identified, pansexual) housemate was describing the way she'd like to cut her hair--and did we think she should do it? I grinned and said, "Yes! I always support more people looking like lesbians!" (This was somewhat of an in-joke, as we both tend to look quite like gay ladies, although she is only partially so in reality.)

Her friend, who was also in the room, piped up, "No, you could totally pull it off and not look like a lesbian! You could have a k.d.lang look going on there--" My housemate and I both turned to her and cracked up, asking her if she really knew where she was going with that point.

Glad all the travel is just a temporary thing. I do quite like long travel when I can sit back and read, but I imagine that much that frequently would get to me! If it has an end-date, though, I'm sure the money makes it feel quite a lot nicer. ;D

Yes, we can keep getting through. Though still, damn short weekends! :B

Yes, cuddles are quite lovely. It's unfortunate that I'd forgotten, honestly! There have been times in my life in which I cuddled and snuggled all the time--my trips to hippie camp as camper or staffer being highest among them--but it made me realise that recently I haven't had much human physical contact at all. I'll have to change that!

Thank you. :D The younger ones are a headache and a half but I manage to get through each day, so that much is good news!

I sure hope so! And can't wait! (: I'll be heading back to my parents' place to spend some time with my family, uncle from another state included, to kick off my weekend. Hopefully some time by the fire, perhaps roasting marshmallows and snuggling into a hoodie! Mmmm autumn.
