Sometimes when I pack, I just scrape enough stuff into a bag to get by. Other times, it's like a kid in a candy store.

...this time it was like a kid in a candy store.

I think before I leave tomorrow I'm going to need to do the ol' second-go-through of "Do I really need or super want this?" and get some help from Mum in finding little temp. containers for hair stuff, etc.

Ahahaha I am ridiculous. I think if there is a packing equivalent to shopping while hungry, that's what I did. Hopefully I can fix that later today, after a nap.

Ah, travel nerves. It's been a while. Off I go to finish a last task and try to catch a bit of sleep.

Don't sweat the little things. Our first stop will be at a Walfart to pick up some necessities. See you this afternoon!

Not sweating it. (: Mum helped me get a few things in littler containers and I was under the weight limit, so all good! Oh Walfart...

See you rather soon indeed! Sooner than you may see this!

(I love the Orlando airport for its free WiFi, I really do.)

Have lots of fun on your vacation :-)) Trying to get a bit of sleep beforehand is certainly a wise idea ;-)

Will do, thank you! I got a bit of sleep--three hours and something, which honestly isn't too bad for me when it comes to a night before travel--and I managed to get some odd sleep with odder dreams on the plane, despite the screaming/crying/kicking child behind me haha. In that way, I'm glad I was exhausted enough to get some sleep and not be constantly aware of my surroundings! I feel plenty refreshed now that I'm off where it's quieter, too. (:

if there is a packing equivalent to shopping while hungry, that's what I did. I like it! It totally is exactly that. Gonna use it from now, too.

Have fun and leave your other life-worries at home, please.

Glad you liked it! I wish there were a phrase for the shopping phenomenon, too.

I will certainly have fun, and I will try my best to leave my other life-worries at home. (:

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow (and just how glorious does that sound?)

Off now, to do my own packing. I've exercised admirable restraint.

So far.

Oh, very very! And yes indeed, looking forward to seeing you tomorrow as well! May your flight be peaceful and quiet...

I think my problem was in going, "Alright, here's what I need. And now for what I want..." :P I like having options! And, apparently, Quidditch goggles. You know, just the stuff an average person needs on a daily basis.

I am the worst to decide what I really need..
Kiwi Crocuscranky__crocus on October 9th, 2012 08:21 pm (UTC)
I was quite reasonable when it came to deciding what I needed...it was when I allowed myself to go for what I wanted, on top of that, that things got tricky. :P

But I think it'll be fun, the stuff I brought.

Ha ha, I just loved your hungry shopping - eager packing comparison, it's a good one!

Wishing you, and all other flisties, a wonderful, wonderful time together. Looking forward to your 'report'. :-)
