My friend Jojobird, my best friend from university, moved house (finally - was in the works when we were still in uni) and IS GETTING A LEONBERGER!!!

His name is apparently Bentley.

Either way, alksdjflakjdfklj!!

I'll need to make sure I get my arse over to England for my brother's graduation! (...I did not just suggest, in any way, that visiting a friend's new dog is more important than my brother's boring graduation ceremony. Not at all. But, doggie--big cuddly doggie!)

Back to blowing my nose, breathing through my mouth, and sneezing.

(And, more often than not, not-sneezing. I didn't remember how frustrating that need-to-sneeze-but-can't feeling is, and now I'm getting it for half-minutes at a time. Life, thou art a heartless mistress! Allow me my release!)

(For the record, I do own a pug, but have always been and will always considermyself a Big Dog Person, though I can love most any dog. Even some Chihuahuas.)

ETA: Bentley is not yet conceived. The breeder is waiting for his mother to come into season, then will be escourting the lovely lass to France, where she will get down and dirty with a mysterious show-dog studmuffin (whom Jo can't be told about, because it's Top Sekrit). Which also means alskdjflaksjdf Jojobird is going to have a Leo puppy!

(Think this:

Or maybe this:
)

Jo has added that when she thinks about the two of us (me and Bentley), this is what she thinks of:

It is not entirely unfounded and, quite possibly, something close to accurate. Especially since she looks strangely like my younger self with shorter hair.

Jojobird has also told me that I am a sort of Dog-mother (God, but spelled right, you know, in Canine) slash weird-International-aunt-person. To a Leo puppy! And she has promised to post pictures all over Facebook when he exists.

I am such a proud Dog-aunt-to-be. This post started small and got much bigger. Much like Bentley will! *Squee squee squee!* :D

One of my biggest frustrations in life is that dogs/cats/pets in general usually don't like me as much as I like them :( It's sad.

But THAT DOG *g* And you should totally do the same pose as the picture with the little girl when taking a photo with the doggie :B And post to your livejournal. To show us the dog, of course.

Coincidentally one of my childhood friends has also gotten herself a dog! :D Except hers is a Jack Russell Terrier and he's tiny and SO CUTE. And I think I might go meet him TODAY! :3

Hopefully he'll like me :B Otherwise it should be sad hahah

I sometimes come across pets that pretend they don't like me much when their humans are around, and then amble right up when the humans are gone. :B That always amuses me. For the most part, I do alright; though I include the sorts of critters who sit about being generally Not Bothered but also aren't ones to go cuddle-crazy as 'like me'. With them it's more of an understanding thing--which I get, 'cause when I was a kidling, I was very willing (and happy) to be on the periphery, but I didn't want anyone coming up in my face or touching me.

But occasionally I get it in my head that critters like me, and then they make it a point to knock me down a peg or two - pride comes before the fall, and all. (; They seem to sense it. "Oh, she thinks we'll just like her right-off then, does she? Well then! *Ignores.*" Then I have to come around and apologise for being arrogant and presumptuous, and send a 'this is your home and I'm a guest' vibe; most all of them come around.

There is one dog, to my memory, that hasn't liked me. He's a little unsocialised Chihuahua brat, because his owner doesn't know much about dogs at all, and certainly not about the breed and the strict socialising they require as pups. Little Nim likes to bite at my ankles; I am not at all fond of him. I may start bringing along a water spray bottle when I go to that friend's house...

Hahaha, when I meet Bentley (whenever that is...), I shall be sure to pose for a picture like that! :B

Awwr, I love Jack Russels! They're cute as can be and so clever. I hope you enjoy meeting him! :D *Is jealous.*

Merlin's balls, that dog will be big! I like big dogs, but boy, they'll need bin bags to pick up the poop that thing's gonna be dropping everywhere...

On the plus side, every year when Bentley sheds his coat they can knit a sweater! And a scarf! And a hat! Gloves! All matching.

Yes, big big dog! *Big big smile.* Hahahaha, of course you'd comment on the poop. :B

*Sticks tongue out at you.* But yes, it's spinnable, so that should be fun! They're going to have oodles and oodles of fun when he hits his puppy moulting time during his first year... *Grins wickedly.*
