I just realised that I never posted the oddball graphics stuff I worked on this week. After I edited my town all up and down, I thought, "What would happen if I touched a HP picture?"

So I did. I shall share the results and you may run in terror. Or take one or some and use them. Or do both.

There we go. I was learning as I went along, so I didn't know when I did the various-colour Minerva ones that I could actually fade the effect, which I did in later graphics adventures. But I figured I'd post everything up because everyone has different preferences and that's all good!

Now I shall post the things that are not icons, just incase anyone is interested.

I just thought this was a great shot of Minerva and Pomona together. Minimal editing.

The larger version of a picture of the Hogwarts choir that I edited. I wanted to make it look like a memory, somehow.

The smaller version.

The original Minerva!braid picture. Not too much editing, just to bring out the colours and sharpen it up a bit (mainly for the hair :B). I thought it'd make a nice banner or something but of course I'm too lazy (and also hate dealing with text, as I always have).

The lighter-filtered Minerva-in-wheelchair-reading-paper picture.

The darker-filtered Minerva-in-wheelchair-reading-paper picture (focusing more on the subject of the paper and less on the squee of actually seeing Minerva in a wheelchair, closer to canon).

And now you are all caught up on the graphics of my life. Back to fic-reading for a while. Then I have to do that silly sleep thing so I'm awake for tomorrow. D:

Ooh, these are lovely! I love the filters you used on #6 and #10 especially, the blue makes her look so sombre. It's also a great crop, too, of course. And #14 and #20, too - the black and white ispretty, and I like the greater focus on the newspaper #20 has. ♥

The first picture of the great hall is very captivating, would you mind if I used it as my Desktop background?

Thanks for sharing!

Wow, thank you for the detailed comment on them! ♥

Sure, use the great hall picture however you'd like! I'm flattered you find it captivating! *Blushes.*

Thank you for receiving so kindly!!

Those are gorgeous. I don't need any right now, but they are quite lovely.

Ooh, pretty. Took one of the Minervas. What program do you use for your playing with pictures? If it's a full or part version of Adobe Photoshop, I recommend tooling around with layer styles a bit too. That can give some lovely, simple (or not so simple, if you're so inclined) effects. :)

Thanks! I've been using Gimp (2.0 I think) - it's just a free online program. It's more confusing than some I've used, hence my slow progress as far as learning.

I'm used to use layers when I had Paint Shop Pro (I think I stopped at 7 or 9) and liked it...but for some reason I hate the way Gimp does layers. I considered using layers and then gave up, since it frustrated me and I was just putzing around for fun. :B

I probably won't do much as far as graphics for another while. But it did make me miss having a tablet way back when!
