I don't know if any of you have ever been curious about the people I hang out with (besides your lovely selves, of course!), but I decided to put up a little example.

Here is both an example of many of the people I love dearly (plus one behind the camera) as well as a convention I will be attending in 2013:

(Warning: it's Rocky-Horror-Picture-Show related. That is your warning.)

This is hysterical! I especially loved everyone in the bouncy house, the fire eater and the pool skimming. What a fun group of friends! ::g::

Glad you found it entertaining! :D Apparently the bouncy house wasn't actually that bouncy! But they had fun anyway. Keether (the fire eater) is a pretty big raver; a number of them have some interesting skills from rave culture. I do find them all incredibly fun! The parade footage was taken from Providence Pride 2011, which I regrettably couldn't attend due to being in England; thankfully I'll be hitting next year's pride and this conference! I'm excited. (:

(I'm not actually very involved with the group, but most--all, actually, I think--of my Providence friends play various roles in the shadowcasting of Rocky Horror, Repo! the Genetic Opera, Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Musical Episode and Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. It is fun to head to the shows when I can make it!)

Thanks! :D

One thing I love about the men I know in Providence is that they're not afraid to wear heels and makeup when the moment calls for it. (They also have routines for the strip pole in their living room.)

Great clip, very very well edited. And these peopel look like fun! I'd probably be considered too withdrawn for their liking (I get embarrassed if people are only partly dressed in my presence) but it still reminds me so much of my late teens! I even named my first car (when I was 19) Magenta! (She had lovely painted eyes on the sides of her front and musical notes painted along her sides - I remember only one of the songs, though...)

Great memories! Thanks for the smile and the feel-good atmosphere!!!

Glad you like the clip! My friend/future housemate Greg spent a long time on that. :D The people are definitely fun! I don't think they would consider you too withdrawn for their liking; they're very understanding of peoples' preferences and comfort zones. I'm smiling like mad to know that you had a car named Magenta at 19 and that she was painted that way! Would have loved to have seen her!

You'll have to refresh your memory on the songs with another watch of the film. :Þ Or perhaps YouTube.

I'm glad you enjoyed the clip! Thank you for the smile and this feel-good atmosphere! (I certainly couldn't have it on my livejournal without all the brilliant help from my flisties!)

Oh, I'd love to show you a picture, but it was wayyyyyy before any digital pic, and I think I only have one pic of her in one of the albums. I'll see if I can find and scan - but don't hold your breath.

As for the songs, they were not from the movie; I remember everything from the movie - including the comments from the audience: I had a tape what was a recording of such a screening, and you could hear all the movie and all the come-backs from the crowd. I still know it by heart. And that must have been, what? 24 years ago? Something like that. But I don't remember what I ate yesterday, though... Oh well. Short-term memory loss in a sign for old age.

The songs on Magenta's sides were both Beatles, I think. One was 'She Loves You' - that's for sure, and the other I'm not 100% sure but it was probably 'Yesterday'. I was madly in (unrequited - what else) love with my female commander so... yeah.

I won't hold my breath, but if you do come across that picture at some point, I'll be excited to see it! Pleased to know you remember everything from the movie--including the call-outs! I still giggle at them when I go.

Beatles--good choice.

I was madly in (unrequited - what else) love...
Story of my life right now. Also, having that inspire 'Yesterday' being on your car is pretty adorable.

That really is very well done! It actually looked like fun.

Looks like a great group of friends!

I'm glad you think so! Greg (the guy who filmed and edited it) majored in film, graduated with my year and is hoping to get into the film business some day. Everyone thinks he has potential. (I'm going to be living with such artistic/intelligent people...it's going to be intimidating. :B) They definitely had ridiculous amounts of fun as they were filming it! And, by my opinion, they are absolutely a great group of friends. :D Thanks for the comment! ♥

That is freaking cool!
