My rainbow trunk has left my bedroom for the first time in more than two years. (I brought it here the end of first year, so it spent many more months in here than I did. Even when I hadn't decorated the room, just knowing it was in here reminded me that it was mine.)

There's no rainbow anywhere save my clothing and the pile of bedding that will stay in England for a while. How strange!

I'm about to take a few trips to bring my clothes downstairs and put them in the trunk. (This time I was intelligent enough to move the trunk before it was full - so much easier!)

I'm having to take my time with all of this to not get overwhelmed. Once I'm finished with my clothes, though, I'm pretty much done; I just have to get rid of a bit more stuff and go through my cupboard to get rid of things or put them in a pile for my brother. Though I'll have to pack away this laptop (my desktop I-can't-move-without-a-power-cable laptop), so it's good I have the little Netbook easily at hand.

I also need to stop being distracted by the candles I've lit and the bat that Jo is feeding. (Her first charge, Bluey, died a while back; she now has another Soprano Pipistrelle named Mr. Blobby. She intends to name the next one after Lady Gaga.)

I also need to make sure that I don't take my house key off my carabiner until all my stuff is in my uncle's car and I am absolutely leaving the house for the final time. Otherwise I'll end up locking myself out of the house (again).

*Hugs back.* Thank you. I'll do my best to keep safe. It's actually a bit relieving to not be leaving the country right after packing. Still a big deal to leave my house and town for the last time as a resident, though. Feels so strange.
