This post is brought to you by wine and procrastination.

[Kiwi heads downstairs for more wine.]
Mark: [Repeats some word over and over, a headphone plugged in one ear.]
Kiwi: "No no no. It's 'wine wine wine wine wine! Or wine and whine and wine and whine and cheeeeese!'"
M: "Someone is happy today!"
K: "Yes. I've decided that vodka never cuts it. Wine makes me feel like there are faeries in my brain, and they are having a...well, siesta or fiesta, I can't remember which means nap and which means party."
M: "Fiesta is party. I think."
K: "Well then, half the faeries in my brain are having a faerie-fiesta and the others are having a siesta and all their rainbow unicorn dreams are sparkling around my blood! That's what wine is."

Then I taught him how to make all sorts of symbols directly into text, rather than finding them in Word symbols and copy-pasting them: ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ ○ ♂ ♀ ♪ ♫ ☼ ‼

The list of things I Should Do is long; the list of things I Have Done is short. Therefore, all is right in the universe. (Especially since I just attempted to make a mathematical formula for procrastination and came to the sensible conclusion that equations have no business in my livejournal! Unless, at the moment, the equation is tankard + wine = faerie fiestasiesta, because I am fine with that. [Yes, I am drinking wine out of a glass tankard; therealsnape told me I couldn't drink out of the Hello Kitty glass, which is the only other one I really have. No, I do not fill the tankard - hopefully the fact that I now have a degree attests to a touch more intelligence than that! :Þ])

My inbox is under 150 'unread' messages for the first time in at least a month. HURRAH FOR PROGRESS! Just the LJ ones to answer now since LJ was being a silly sod before.

I have realised that I sway when I am happy with consumption-related things. That surprised me, since this is cheap wine that I swallow quickly - but I realised that I still consume it in the ordinary way (with perhaps more facial expressions). I also sway when I enjoy what I am eating. My other theory on my swaying is that I am secretly seaweed.

I don't think I have anything else of importance to say. (Yes, clearly all those things were highly important!) That is not to say that you won't hear from me again. I am not taking myself at all seriously tonight; that's when I tend to post on livejournal the most.

Just kidding, I found something else:

I apparently posted that to Facebook around exam time. I re-read it today and it made me giggle.

Your description of wine in your brain is entirely apt! I'm having a very very lazy day, too, and was just pondering whether I wanted a glass of wine. (:

My answer: yes, yes you do! The faeries in my brain are turning to majority siesta (it's nearly 2am here) but I'm still awake and having a shiny time. (: I love very very lazy days - tomorrow I'll probably have to get more done.

I miss chatting with you!

Me too! I don't know where I've been.

I know even less about where I've been. Half the time I'm not even sure I've got all my limbs in attendance!

*Checks.*

Well, I'm a bit concerned about the presence of my lower right leg, but other than that it seems all in order! Hopefully we can chat soon! :D

Definitely no w(h)ine in a Hello Kitty glass -- I hear they self-destruct if you pour adult beverages into them, and broken glass does nasty things to your throat.

Ouch! Glad I went with the tankard, then, even if it means I drank more than I intended. (; There's something powerful about drinking out of a tankard.

I wonder if the Hello Kitty cup could handle the silly, colourful student drinks...I may have to test it at some point. After all, my degree is in science - things worth wondering are often worth testing!

(Thank you. (: )

things worth wondering are often worth testing! Ah. I may be a mere literature scholar, but I've often wondered Why the Shit Invariably Hits the Fan.

Now I know. Because some scientists (bless their inquisitive little hearts) wondered too, and felt it would actually be a good idea to test the results of Shit and Fan combined. ;-)

Could I propose looking for the Hello Kitty answer in a book (or rather, a story)? Just read the very first section of kellychambliss's "My Journal about My Life and Stephen and Miranda" by Adela. It'll tell you all you ever need to know about Hello Kitty implements.

And yay for tankards!
